We are a community group with charitable status, run and managed by a voluntary committee made up of parents / carers. The success and continuation of the Pre-School relies on the support and involvement of parents, and our regular fundraising and sponsored events.

 

 

 

 

What type of events do we hold?

Nearly new sales, sponsored walks and treasure hunts, organised trips, community lunches, raffles, Spring fair, Christmas party.

 

How can you help? 

There are many ways parents/carers can help - with just a small amount of your time.

  • Sign up to the parent helper rota - help prepare drinks and snacks, read to a group, join in with activity tables.
  • Bake cakes for events - cakes always go down well, whether to sell at events or to sustain our helpers!
  • Help serve refreshments - teas & coffees for grown-ups and squash for children keeps us going during fundraisers
  • Setting up and clearing away before and after events - we're always very grateful for any time you can give
  • Putting up posters for events - please help us publicise our events
  • Donate raffle prizes or sell raffle tickets - buy, sell, or donate to our raffles - we appreciate your support

 

Do you have any ideas?

We are always open to fundraising ideas. Please come along to a committee meeting or share them with a member of staff.

 

Join our committee

You don't have to wait for our AGM to join the committe, we co-opt members thoughout the year at our meetings which are often every month. Please come along to a meeting and see how you can contribute.  The committee is responsible for making decisions about the pre-school, acquiring resources, advertising and marketing, addressing any staff issues, fundraising as well as making sure we are on track with all our legal and statutory obligations.  We are a fun and friendly group and encourage new parents to join and contribute.
